The Emonec Hotel has a wonderful location – just moments from Preseren Square and the Triple Bridge – the heart of beautiful Ljubljana.
Entry to the hotel is via an archway off Wolfova Street into a large courtyard with Reception on your right.
We stayed in Room 403, a 4-star room on the first floor (no lift) in the new part of the hotel. Three-star rooms are in the same building as Reception.
Our room was spacious, clean and bright – a Scandinavian look – with a window opening onto the courtyard below.
The bed was two single beds pushed together in the main part of the room, and there was also a single bed in a semi-private area of the room between the bathroom and the main bedroom.
The bathroom had a large basin, shower over the bath, plenty of shelf space and a heated towel rail.
The room had a long desk along one wall, with plenty of lighting. There were two cupboards (one contained a safe), but no minibar. The television was mounted on a wall so that it could be watched from the bed.
A continental breakfast was included and served in a breakfast room downstairs – a selection of cereal, yogurt, fruit, cold meat, cheese, boiled egg, bread, juice, tea and a coffee machine.
There is a laundry room at the hotel however this appeared to be open to anyone not staying at the hotel so was a busy place.
We can highly recommend staying at the Emonec Hotel. It is clean, comfortable and modern with an excellent location – in easy walking distance to all we wanted to see in Ljubljana.
If you arrive by car, secure, underground parking is available a short walk (5 minutes) from the hotel at a cost of 7 Euros per day. Wolfova Street is a pedestrian street so you do have to wheel your luggage to the hotel from the carpark – a small price to pay for a great location.
