Roosevelt Lodge, Yellowstone National Park, USA
Roosevelt Lodge is located on the edge of the beautiful Lamar Valley in the northeast of Yellowstone National Park.
Our stay at Roosevelt Lodge was a wonderful experience.
On arrival we were warmly greeted at Reception, which is in the charming historic Roosevelt Lodge ‘log cabin’ building.
The Lodge building included the dining room, small bar and gift shop, plus informal lounge area in front of the fire. Accommodation is provided in small timber cabins among the trees, close to the Lodge.
La Quinta Inn & Suites, Butte, Montana, USA
On a road trip from Seattle to Yellowstone National Park, we broke our trip in Butte, Montana for one night. Butte was a mining town from the 1860s to 1983 – best known for copper mining. It has an interesting historic district as well as the newer town – where most of the accommodation is located.
We arrived quite late in the evening to check in to La Quinta Inn & Suites and received a warm welcome at Reception.
La Quinta Inn & Suites is located in the newer area of town.
Quality Inn, Selah, Washington
Selah is a small town in the Yakima Valley, Washington – where we chose to break our trip when driving from Seattle to Yellowstone National Park.
The Quality Inn appeared to be the best place to stay in this small town.
The Quality Inn Selah is an attractive, two-storey building in a quiet area a few minutes drive from Selah’s main street.
Georgetown Inn, Seattle
In a city where we found accommodation to be quite expensive, Georgetown Inn was very good value for money.
Just a 12-minute drive from the airport and about 10-minute drive from Seattle city centre, Georgetown Inn has a great location.
Helm’s Inn, Victoria, Vancouver Island, Canada
The Helm’s Inn is very well located – just a few minutes walk from the Inner Harbour, the Empress Hotel and main shopping street of Victoria.
We received a very friendly greeting from the staff on Reception, and plenty of suggestions on where to eat and what to see during our stay in Victoria.
Aava Hotel, Whistler, Canada
The Aava Hotel has a good location and is good value for money in a town where accommodation is generally expensive.
Room 326
We had Room 326 on one of the upper floors, accessible via the lift. It was a very comfortable room with plenty of space and leafy views from both windows.
